Just to Make You Smile.

Here's my crazy girl.

That's her Halloween candy bucket on her head... if you couldn't tell.
Yep, that's my girl!

Hunting for Eggs

We had a great Easter weekend, and better yet, it was a three-day weekend for our family. (that rarely happens)

Friday was spent doing a lot of work building our vegetable garden - more to come on that later. So Saturday, we had some fun finding rainbow-colored eggs.

What made it even better, one of Georgia's favorite friends also made it out to this egg hunt - Mia.

You know this girl found a lot of eggs - I'm pretty sure more than anyone else in her age group and maybe the entire group. She is an egg hunting machine!

With a basket full of chocolate, who could wait to get home to start eating? Certainly not my little one.

What a great way to spend part of our holiday weekend - making memories.

Cousins

Cousins are those childhood playmates who grow up to be forever friends. ~Anonymous

I had a few days off of work backed up to my weekend, so Georgia and I hopped in the car and headed to Georgia to visit my family. She doesn't get to see her cousins very often - only a few times a year - but it's like they never missed a day.

What was so interesting inside that wagon you might ask? Oh, a dead worm and some other goodies! :) At least they're not squeamish cousins.

And being around her cousins brings out the many faces of Georgia - my favorite being that big, ole smile.

And cousins together do silly things, like hide under empty pools...

and see how many goldfish they can fit in their mouths...

It just melts my heart to see them all together, and it makes me wish we lived right down the street.

Worth every mile and hour we drove to get here!

April 13, 2012 - Never Too Old to Watch Garbage

Georgia has kind of re-discovered the garbage truck lately. All the sudden, when she hears it on Friday mornings, she gets excited and climbs on the back of the couch to peek out the window. Since that is really not allowed in our house, today, I opened the front door for her.

April 5, 2012 - The Pockets of a Toddler

It's amazing what you can find inside here:

We had an unexpected cold snap today, enough so that we had to pull jackets out of the closets that haven't been used in at least a month.

Georgia's jacket pocket was full of little items.

It's funny how as adults we will just pass by or discard a simple rock or shell or stick or piece of straw, but to a two-year-old, those things are magical and treasured.

April 1, 2012 - When You Let Her Dress Herself...

... you just might get a little bit of Christmas in April.

04.01.12 017

She was very adamant about wearing her "Frosty" shirt this morning, and daddy couldn't argue with that!
04.01.12 019

Someone even told her "Merry Christmas" as we took a walk around downtown.

(she talks in one end and daddy is at the other end - cute!)
04.01.12 026

And we'll end this post with our ladybug friend that decided Georgia made for a perfect landing spot.
04.01.12 040

I'm just glad Georgia did not smash her.
