May 31, 2010 - My Memorial Day Beauty

Today the air was ripe with the smell of crisping meat on the bar-b-ques, damp and newly cut grass, warm people, mustily wet dogs and fun. I love the days when the neighborhood is full of people who would normally be working. It just gives carries an energy that's contagious.

Our Memorial Day was spent mostly at home, other than a brief shopping excursion that annoyed both daddy and daughter. Home on our extra day with daddy this week. Mondays are usually our mommy/daughter days, but we delight when daddy can add his laughter to the mix.
